Traditional Woven Christmas Heart Countdown / Advent Calender Counting & Sliding Ornament and Star Lever

Description:

This purchase includes a file for making this very traditional Danish woven Christmas Heart Countdown or Advent Calendar Ornaments with a layered star on top and room for name personalization.

The files include a Merry Christmas text and the Danish Glædelig Jul version and has room for name personalization on the other side of the heart.

The files includes 25/24 to 1 (countdown) and 1 to 24/25 (calendar) wheels, 2 variations of fronts, the scored woven heart + color instructions as well as font descriptions in case you want to personalize it with font I used.

The file is made easy for scoring/engraving and cutting and the pictured pieces is made from 4mm (1/8”) plywood and are set to measure approximately 10cm/4”

Assembling take around 5-10 minutes and though I didn't make a tutorial for this design, I have a bunch on my YouTube channel. Here's the Snowflake version, that assemble pretty much the same way:

Make sure to sand the slider part on both sides, so you remove a little material and make it nice and smooth, which will make the sliding go easier. Optional you can add a piece of paper/cardstock on the center round, to make it a tiny bit thicker than the wheel.

Apply glue to the middle center piece of the slider and glue it to the back and front of the ornament. Optionally use a staple gun and staple it to the back, this will help lifting the front a bit.

Finally glue your painted Christmas heart on top by following the hole and scored lines.

You can use whatever thickness of material as well as resize it as long as you resize everything.
