Round Welcome beaded frame sign / door hanger farmhouse style, blank frame + back included

Description:

This purchase includes the file for this 11.5" (29cm) round 2 layered Welcome sign with a faux beaded frame.

The file includes the layered Welcome and Happy place text and engraved to our + shiplap lines and scored lines for text alignment. It does however also include a blank version as well with shiplap lines on the backer, so you can customize it however you like.

This can be made with plywood, MDF, acrylic, hardwood and whatever material you like. The pictured sign is made from 4mm plywood back and 10mm plywood frame, but you can use whatever thickness of material you want and layer another frame if you want it deeper.

I used my sander to slightly “round” the beads before assembling. The “rough” look is actually my residue from back flash, that I didn’t sanded entirely off, as I liked the look. You don’t have to do this, but it makes a great effect. I also made a tutorial on how I do that, which can be found here: https://youtu.be/-ptlFYuB3Lw

Assembling is easy, start by gluing on the text to the back, the the outer frame, the beads and at last the inner frame. I actually used a stapler gun for the outer frame from the back, to ensure a stronger hold.

You can resize the sign, just be aware that the beads might be more fragile when they're sized to be smaller - also remember to layer both parts before resizing.
