This pattern is for our 3 different Dog Pun Christmas Ornaments.

These ornaments are easy to engrave, cut, paint and assemble with clear and concise instructions.

This 3 pack of ornament files feature adorable engraved portraits of three popular breeds with cute Christmas sayings.

They have multiple layers and colours which give the finished ornaments a beautiful 3D look. These are great ornaments to have at craft fairs because there is no personalization and they can be made well ahead of the busy season. These are great for Christmas in July sales!

Included in this listing: PNG, SVG, JPEG and PDF versions of all files. Materials & Settings:

I use 1/8” Baltic Birch for the Dog and Plaque Layers and I use 1/8” white MDF for the Main base of the ornament.

In the Glowforge UI choose Medium Basswood Plywood from their Materials List and Engrave using these settings. (Speed 650, Precision Power 60, Lines Per Inch 270, Number of Passes 1). I’ve played around with a tonne of settings and this one works fantastic for a really dark brown engrave. You can definitely play around with your settings to do a faster engrave.

I do not tape any of my projects that are done on bare wood. I do sand all of my work after lasering!

For the MDF Layers, I simply engrave and then wipe residue off with a baby wipe until all of the residue is removed and then dry with a clean piece of paper towel.

I spray paint the Plaque layer and paint the Pup layers with Acrylic Paint Pens (Artistro is my favourite brand)
