These ornaments are easy to engrave, cut, paint and assemble with clear and concise instructions.

Each of the ornaments have multiple layers with detailed shapes which can be painted in an array of colours on the crisp white and black backer which makes for eye catching 3D effect finished tree ornaments!

These are great ornaments to have at craft fairs because there is no personalization and they can be made well ahead of the busy season. These are great for Christmas in July sales!

Included in this listing: PNG, SVG, JPEG and PDF versions of all files.

Materials & Settings:

I use 1/8” Baltic Birch for the painted layers and I use 1/8” white MDF for the Main base of the ornament.

In the Glowforge UI choose Medium Basswood Plywood from their Materials List and Engrave using these settings. (Speed 650, Precision Power 60, Lines Per Inch 270, Number of Passes 1). I’ve played around with a tonne of settings and this one works fantastic for a really dark brown engrave. You can definitely play around with your settings to do a faster engrave.

I do not tape any of my projects that are done on bare wood. I do sand all of my work after lasering!

For the MDF Layers, I simply engrave and then wipe residue off with a baby wipe until all of the residue is removed and then dry with a clean piece of paper towel.
