Here’s a little trick to avoid wood scraps, for those that don’t already know it.
I always draw a square the size of my sheet and nest all the stuff I want to cut inside it.
Sometimes I’m in a hurry and I’ll just cut what I need and keep the sheet, like this one as example, from which I cut a tray layer from.
Since I know I cut a tray, I just pulled up the shape and placed in on my drawn “sheet” and started nesting everything around + a few additional blanks to fit up my empty space.
Takes a little bit, but it’s well worth it to get maximum value out of your sheets ☺️
This is the sheet I cut one of my tray layers from.
Here’s my nested 60x40cm sheet - made in Lightburn.
